Heather and Paul are regular visitors to Champoluc and, like us, feel very much at home in the resort and the stunning location.
Heather and Fiona quickly established a good working relationship and together started planning what was going to be a truly bespoke wedding. The couple wanted their alpine wedding to be a real celebration surrounded by close friends and relatives. The main wedding party arrived a few days before Christmas, which gave them a chance to arrange the final details with the resort team, as well as having a relaxing festive celebration.
The wedding day was greeted with a fresh blanket of snow and picturesque mountains. The bride chose to wear a full length and elegant wedding dress which was complimented by a fur shoulder shrug and a hand tied bunch of white calla lilies, delicately decorated with gemstone. Her bridesmaid wore a fitted, silver- grey long dress, also with a matching fur and again held a hand tied bunch of calla lilies with a silver- grey silk ribbon.
Following a romantic service at the comune the couple joined their guests at the Bar Soleil in Frachey for a traditional Italian buffet lunch and prosecco. This was where the fun and frivolities really began. Heather, Paul and their guests did not hesitate to put on their ski boots and take to the slopes in all of their refinery. The snow gently fell as the couple romantically and gracefully skied down the mountain in full view of their guests. So as not to be left behind, the guests quickly followed in a ‘conga style’ snowplough in full view of the amused skiers on the mountain.
In the evening Heather and Paul accompanied their guests for an evening reception on the mountain at Campo Base. Whilst guests travelled in a snow cat, Heather and Paul decided to arrive in style in a skidoo. On arrival everyone was greeted with champagne fragole to toast the happy couple. The restaurant had been tastefully decorated and personalised with wedding bunting, silver helium balloons, ‘goody bags’ for their guests and elegant table arrangements of flowering hydrangeas.
After a four course meal which had been carefully selected by the couple to cater for all the needs of their guests, Heather and Paul invited everyone to join them on the terrace to watch an impressive and spectacular firework display that lit up the starry sky. The celebrations continued well into the night with dancing to a carefully selected playlist.
A few last minutes changes had to be made to the wedding plans on the day of the wedding due to adverse wedding conditions. However our resort team ensured that Heather and Paul were well informed and our priority remained the same, the December wedding became a truly memorable and magically occasion for Heather and Paul and their wedding guests.
